A change of name doesn't guarantee a change of heart. As a Christian it's not about how long you have been one but how far you have come in your walk with Christ. Come join us as we continue our study about the life of Jacob in Gen 33. How his name change had little effect on his heart. New Life Hurricane Sunday service time 10:30am. 545 W State St. Hope to see you there.

Don't miss this Sunday's message @ 10:30am @ New Life Hurricane. Title is- Many are called. Why did God call me? Because God created me. When God created you, He chose you with specific talents, skills, and abilities for you. He has a purpose in mind for you and He knows 'exactly who you need to be to fulfill His purpose for your life.
Eph 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. God has called you because you matter. You can make a difference in somebody else's life. You're invited to come and join us for this Sunday's message @ 10:30am @ New Life Hurricane Church. We will be sharing testimonials on how good God has been to us and a message about Praising The Lord. We as a church had the opportunity to bless our community with thanksgiving basket yesterday. We as a church raised over $800 to bless the community and we're still not done.
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, but what about a time to just praise the Lord? Not just because it's the holidays, but to really give Him praise. Do we Praise the Lord in the unseen things? It's easy to praise Him when we see Jesus answering our prayers. But what about the unseen prayer that it seem like it's taking along time for the answer do we still praise Him? What is truly thanksgiving about? It's all about Praising the Lord. Ps 111:1 Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. Thank you for all the volunteers and those that gave, your truly have the heart to give. Don't let this happen to you, you're trying to get in and something is stopping you. This Sunday message is called the Revolving revival door. What does a revolving revival door look like? They come in and they get what they need that's the revival. At times the church can look like a revolving door every Sunday people come in and check out the church but where do they go from there? It's like a door that continues to go round and around. But if you look at it as a revival door then you can see what Jesus wants to do in each person that comes through the church doors. John 7:37-38 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
Sometimes we have to ask ourselves what if persecution was at the door who would want to answer it? What if persecution was around the corner? Would you be able to handle it? We can't hide from it. We won't be able to talk ourselves out of it. We won't be able to run from it. Our money is not going to buy our way out of this one. The churches aren't going to have the answers. Why do you think that persecution happened in the Bible times and that it's not going to happen to us? This Sunday message we are going to go over what persecution really looks like. God warns us through the Bible of things yet to come. 2 Tim 3:12-14 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
Do you know the difference from spiritual attack and persecution? We're used to going under attack all the time our life is full of attacks. But we' never have experienced persecution. We always think we're going to avoid it because of the rapture. But what if we have to go through persecution would we be ready? 2 Cor 11:23-29 I think we all want to be slow to speak and quick to listen right. But Many times we think we have the right answers and we get our self into trouble because we say things that we don't really mean to say. Have you ever heard the saying your foot in the mouth? At times it can be really hurtful. So how do we zip it? It's all most impossible? The tongue is one of the smallest part of our body. But that smallest part can get you into a lot of trouble. James 3:8-10 but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.
If you don't have a home church you can join us for this Sunday's message @ 10:30am and free fellowship meal right after service. Don't you like the saying Batter Up the bases are loaded? That is the way the church should look like, everyone's in position. Have you ever played baseball, you get excited when you make it to 1st base and you wait for your opportunity to slide into 2nd base. By the time the bases are loaded you know you're going to bring everybody home. That's the way Church is when everybody is helping we have a home run. Matt 9:37-38 Then He said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Our job is to pray for the laborers, we don't have to pray for the harvest it's already here, there is enough work for everyone. We need help from the laborers. Pray that God would send laborers to the church. Do you dare to be a Disciple? Have you ever just wanted to run away from your current life and hide or start over? Maybe your past has you regretting it. Maybe you are lonely right now and doubting anyone cares. Or maybe you are anxious about the uncertainty of your future.
Then you need an encounter with Jesus! Join us this tomorrow as we see how Jacob handled his encounter with Jesus and study Genesis 28 at New Life Hurricane 545 W. State Street #6 Hurricane, UT service time 10:30am. Hope to see you there! Who is Jesus? How can you say you never heard about Jesus? At Christmas and Easter we know who He is. I'm not sure how we can get so confused then? Oh maybe because of this, that some want to teach us; That Jesus got married? That He's the brother of Satan? That He was only a good teacher and what about this one the big bang theory? Don't believe everything you read or what people are trying to convince you of who they think Jesus is. We cannot twist God's word for what we want to believe. 2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. This young man said it best on Who Jesus really is, watch the video below. All who are thirsty, all who are weak come to the fountain. At one time we were either thirsty like having cotton mouth or weak like we're not going to make it. Have you ever been thirsty? YES. The only thing that can take that thirst away is living water. See the problem is when we are weak we are supposed to come to the fountain. Are you thirsty for more? YES Do you want to go deeper? YES. Are you ready to go deeper? YES If you're thirsty come to the fountain and God will give you living water. John 4:10-15 Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?" Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw."
