How many today could use one right now? Join us tomorrow at New Life Hurricane @10:30am as we continue with the life of Jacob and see how God gives him a new lease on life and what we can learn from his experience. If you haven't seen God at work in your life lately maybe it's time to commit to Him first. Jan 1st as a church we committed to New heights, New levels and New opportunities. We're going to break down each one of them for the next couple of months. What do new heights look like for you this year? How do you get there? It's not climbing the corporate ladder but to get closer to Jesus. Matt 7:7-8 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
God Loves it when we knock and seek after Him. But Stepping into new heights is not always easy. You can be strong in your walk and you still can get spook of the unknown. The reason why we might not see our self going into new heights is because we might have a hard time stepping out. Matt 14:22-33 As we get ready to say good bye to 2022 and get ready to enter into 2023 with excitement of what God wants to do in our lives. Get ready for New Heights, New Levels, New Opportunities. What would you like to see happen this year spiritual in your life? Every year we talk about making new year resolutions. But do we stick to them? Do you want to see more spiritual growth this year? Or have you falling into, "I can't do anything else I'm already burnt out?" What would New heights New levels, New opportunities, look like? 1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
You don't want to miss this Sunday'. message about, Let Me Tell You About My Jesus. By Matthew West. Have you listen to the song? The words can change your life, if you let it. Everyone of us should be able to tell the story about what Jesus has done in our lives. Even if you are heavy burden, empty, and a sinner which we are. Let me tell you about my Jesus, He never slumbers nor sleeps. Ps 121:1-8 I will lift up my eyes to the hills From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.
A change of name doesn't guarantee a change of heart. As a Christian it's not about how long you have been one but how far you have come in your walk with Christ. Come join us as we continue our study about the life of Jacob in Gen 33. How his name change had little effect on his heart. New Life Hurricane Sunday service time 10:30am. 545 W State St. Hope to see you there.
Don't miss this Sunday's message @ 10:30am @ New Life Hurricane. Title is- Many are called. Why did God call me? Because God created me. When God created you, He chose you with specific talents, skills, and abilities for you. He has a purpose in mind for you and He knows 'exactly who you need to be to fulfill His purpose for your life.
Eph 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. God has called you because you matter. You can make a difference in somebody else's life. You're invited to come and join us for this Sunday's message @ 10:30am @ New Life Hurricane Church. We will be sharing testimonials on how good God has been to us and a message about Praising The Lord. We as a church had the opportunity to bless our community with thanksgiving basket yesterday. We as a church raised over $800 to bless the community and we're still not done.
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, but what about a time to just praise the Lord? Not just because it's the holidays, but to really give Him praise. Do we Praise the Lord in the unseen things? It's easy to praise Him when we see Jesus answering our prayers. But what about the unseen prayer that it seem like it's taking along time for the answer do we still praise Him? What is truly thanksgiving about? It's all about Praising the Lord. Ps 111:1 Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. Thank you for all the volunteers and those that gave, your truly have the heart to give. Don't let this happen to you, you're trying to get in and something is stopping you. This Sunday message is called the Revolving revival door. What does a revolving revival door look like? They come in and they get what they need that's the revival. At times the church can look like a revolving door every Sunday people come in and check out the church but where do they go from there? It's like a door that continues to go round and around. But if you look at it as a revival door then you can see what Jesus wants to do in each person that comes through the church doors. John 7:37-38 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
Sometimes we have to ask ourselves what if persecution was at the door who would want to answer it? What if persecution was around the corner? Would you be able to handle it? We can't hide from it. We won't be able to talk ourselves out of it. We won't be able to run from it. Our money is not going to buy our way out of this one. The churches aren't going to have the answers. Why do you think that persecution happened in the Bible times and that it's not going to happen to us? This Sunday message we are going to go over what persecution really looks like. God warns us through the Bible of things yet to come. 2 Tim 3:12-14 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
Do you know the difference from spiritual attack and persecution? We're used to going under attack all the time our life is full of attacks. But we' never have experienced persecution. We always think we're going to avoid it because of the rapture. But what if we have to go through persecution would we be ready? 2 Cor 11:23-29 I think we all want to be slow to speak and quick to listen right. But Many times we think we have the right answers and we get our self into trouble because we say things that we don't really mean to say. Have you ever heard the saying your foot in the mouth? At times it can be really hurtful. So how do we zip it? It's all most impossible? The tongue is one of the smallest part of our body. But that smallest part can get you into a lot of trouble. James 3:8-10 but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.
