The name of the message is, "You're Invited" Do you have your invitation for the banquet? Have you ever been invited to a banquet? We all have been to weddings, birthday party's etc. This party is not one that you get to pick and choose who gets to come. We all are invited to the banquet celebration. The table is set, is there is a seat that is reserved for you? The meal has been prepared. The invitations has gone out, now it's up to you to respond. Here is a picture of our friends son's wedding they just had, incredible how beautiful the place looked. Can you image what the banquet in heaven is going to look like? How sad it will be if you miss out and the door shut. Many are invited and they will reject the invitation to enter in. They are going to miss out. How will you respond? Some might respond this way I'm too busy.
Luke 14:15-24 When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, "Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God." Jesus replied: "A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.' (2 things is happen here 1st the initial invitation was sent out 2nd they are summons to the meal when it was ready )." But they all a like began to make excuses. The first said, 'I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.' (surely no one buys a field unseen.) "Another said, 'I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I'm on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.' ( surely no one buys five pairs of oxen without testing them first)." Still another said, 'I just got married, so I can't come. (surely no one would accepted a invitation, when you known your wedding plans our on the same day)' "The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.' Sir,' the servant said, 'what you ordered has been done, but there is still room. 'Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full. I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.'" Wedding picture provided by Sherry Cooper Son wedding.

Join us this Sunday @ 10:30 am for "Have you ever been distracted? "If we would be honest with ourselves we all can get distracted at times. Distractions can be anything that takes our eyes off of Jesus. What consumes your mind controls your life. Are you easily distracted? Distractions can come in many different forms. Listening to fake news can be a distraction. Retirement can be a distraction. Cell phones can be a distraction. Sickness can be a distraction. Working on Sunday can be a distraction. You might say those are all good things. How could that distract me? Because it's where you put your focus. Too much time on that can take you from spending time with God. Think about this, we are free to share the gospel any where right? But do we? Maybe we don't share because we are distracted with every day noises. How can we hear God's still small voice if we are distracted? 1 Kings 19:11-12 The Lord said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
