true or false prophet

Join us this Sunday @ New Life Hurricane Church 10:30am to find out about: What is a prophet? A person who speaks God's truth to others. Can there be a true prophet or false prophet? YES. Do true or false prophets exist today? YES. Do you know what a true or false prophets look's like? They look like you and me, they don't walk around with a sign on their back saying I'm a prophet. If someone tells you that they are a prophet of God, is that always true? NO. Are we supposed to know when someone is telling us the truth or lying to us? YES. But what if they are a really good liar? Can we always trust a prophet? NO We have to be leery on some of the things that they are saying especially as we are living in the last days. We need to have more discernment.
​Jer 23:16 This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.
